Diet & Nutrition

Started easing my way into a clean way of eating May 14, 2012.  I realized that all of the people who's bodies I admired all had one thing in common.  They all eat clean.  These individuals eat little to no processed foods in their daily diets.  Eating clean has been something I've resisted for way too long.  I believe I need to adopt this style of eating to finish this last leg of my journey by taking 30-35 lbs off.  I also want to focus on toning my arms, thighs and stomach area as much as possible.  I refuse to consider any cosmetic surgery until I've given 110%.  Right now I think I'm sitting at 85 or 90.  So, that means I must push forward.

In less than one week's time I'm already seeing results on the scale and physically.  The process hasn't been hard... yet.  Right now I'm hype because I've had little to no sugar cravings.  The ones I have had, I'm happy to say I haven't acted on them.

In addition to reducing my intake of processed foods  I drink an awesome protein shake by Visalus Sciences...... learn more about them here>>>>

These are the best protein shakes I've had in all the years of my weight loss efforts.  I've been so happy with the results that I signed up to promote the Body by Vi Challenge.

I've learned that eating clean isn't a one size fits all lifestyle.  Very few people eat 100% clean.  It's pretty difficult to eat all organic foods and consume things that have absolutely no preservatives and haven't been processed 100% of the time.  If you can, I applaud you.  My goal is to eat clean 80-90% of the time.  I purchased Eating Clean for Dummies and have run across some interesting sites.
